This Wall of Remembrance was created to honor and remember the loved ones we have lost to a violent crime and those who have loved ones missing. Our mission is to never let them be forgotten and to share with those in our communities that our struggles are many, our pain is deep and we have forever been wounded from the effects of our circumstances.

In the midst of our struggles, we also wish to remind other co-victims (survivors) that the path is difficult and walked day-to-day. However, there are many who will give you encouragement along your way. Our prayer is that you will diligently seek them out. Our message to you as you try to make sense out of what has happened is to "never grieve without hope!" Sometimes you may find that hope is all that will sustain you throughout another day.

  • Picture of your loved one
  • A write-up about your loved one. The write-up can be up to 500 words. For legal purposes, DO NOT include the full name of the perpetrator. You may use first name or initials only. ALSO, if you have legal proceedings pending, it is best not to include information concerning this.
  • Newspaper clippings/articles
  • Poems/quotes, etc. which have special meaning to you or to your loved one.

The Shafer Center reserves the right to edit or remove any content deemed inappropriate or detrimental to upcoming court proceedings.
